David Lara serves as the Assistant Vice President of Investment Banking at GFG Securities, LLC, where he advises clients on domestic and international real estate transactions.

Before joining GFG Securities in 2016, David gained valuable experience at Evercore Partners in Mexico City, where he played a pivotal role in advising public entities seeking to develop projects in collaboration with State and Federal Governments. He spearheaded initiatives involving Private Public Partnerships, guiding clients through debt restructuring and investment planning for over 30 municipalities in one of Mexico’s largest states. In addition to his professional achievements, David holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Actuarial Science and Financial Management from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM), with commendations for both thesis projects.

His exceptional thesis work earned national recognition, receiving the Financial Research Award from the Mexican Institute of Financial Executives (IMEF). Furthermore, David completed the Executive Program of International Political Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), holds the Series 79 License, and has passed Level II of the CFA Program.
